Joanne Haesin Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea and came to the U.S. as a child. She joined the group "just in time" as they were less than a year from recording two lengthy and passionate studio projects. She had been long time friends with Justin Punzalan. Always in the audience when the band played, she finally joined after an invite from Larry. With a brilliant range from classical to improvisation, like Matt, Joanne has won awards for own solo work and continues to be an asset to the group.
